CAD Visualisation
Individual Project: 2020
Using NX 11, I modelled a Kikkerland bird corkscrew, utilizing lighting and composition to highlight key details and functional features, communicating the design intent and modelling conceptual designs in a complimentary and explanatory way. I aimed to emphasise the beautiful shapes and sweeping curves of the wooden body that drew me to the corkscrew, alongside the spiral helix of the screw that is so mesmerizing. This required me to apply my knowledge of constraints to compile a multi-part assembly, whilst also teaching me the importance of planning before beginning a complex CAD model. I also learnt the complexity of lighting when combining the renders in Adobe Photoshop.
